ENRICHMENT

Enrichment is a wonderful program your child can benefit from if you desire to enhance and lengthen your child’s school day. Extended days also help prepare your child for kindergarten, as your child will not only attend preschool for a longer period of time, but enrichment also offers our preschool chidren the opportunity to pack a lunch and enjoy a meal with their friends in a structured setting (much like eating in the cafeteria at school).

Each of these enrichment classes plays a larger role in the overall development of young minds and active bodies. We typically offer 4 different enrichment classes in both the fall and spring for our preschool friends that are enrolled in our 4's and pre-k classes.  We also typically offer 1 enrichment class in both the fall and spring for our 3's friends.  The curriculum presented in each class is different in the fall and the spring, providing many wonderful opportunities for our children to extend their learning.

Movement Monday

In this class, students will ride scooters, have parachute fun, run, hop, jump, throw, cheer, laugh, while playing a variety of games, both old and new. This class is designed to improve the levels of fitness and teach children the importance of healthy living.

Exploring Spanish

Move, groove and learn to speak the Spanish language in a fun, interactive, and hands-on way using multisensory learning.  Children will also be introduced to the Spanish culture. Fall topics include numbers, colors, simple phrases and a Mexican Christmas legend. Spring topics include food names, body parts, animal names, transportation names, along with reviewing simple conversation, numbers and colors. Children will enjoy a Cinco de Mayo fiesta. All of these topics are explored through songs, dance, games, books, and puppetry.

Wacky Wednesday

Get ready for our wacky adventure and learn how God has created this incredible world and how we have a special role to help keep it beautiful every day. Your child will interact with wild and active games, create crafts, conduct experiments, and participate in other engaging activities. They will be moving and having fun while utilizing their God-giving creativity.

Making Music

Get ready to groove! In this class, students will listen to, move to, and sing songs and also play instruments, while learning about music. Your child will work together to create original compositions and new dances while engaging in our favorite song.
