Coronavirus Updates

UPDATED:  4/6/2020

The ELC Board met this morning and regretfully, it was decided that the ELC will remain closed for the duration of this school year.  At this time the teachers will continue to be in touch and to provide suggestions, ideas, challenges, worksheets and support via email, Shutterfly, Remind and FaceBook.  In addition, the teachers of the 4 year old classes will be in touch with each family about Parent Teacher Conferences.

Our Board has spent a great deal of time discussing the finances of the ELC.  Within the next few days you will receive information about tuition, refunds and options you will have.

As always, thank you ELC families for all the support and encouragement you have been giving us during the past four weeks.  This has been a difficult time for everyone.

Warmest regards,

Allison Hartnett

This morning the ELC Advisory Board met remotely to discuss Covid -19 and what is next for the Early Learning Center.

It was decided that

  • We will remain closed until April 14th.

  • Our Board will meet on April 6th to revisit the situation and make any changes necessary.

  • We WILL offer tuition refunds but when and how much will be determined on April 6th.  At this point we will not be collecting payment #9 due April 1.

  • We will continue with our 10AM and 2PM Facebook learning opportunities.

  • The Pound and Pour scheduled for April 4th has been cancelled.

  • The Sub Sale will still be put on hold at this time.

Our decisions as a Board might seem somewhat vague but that is because this health crisis changes every day.

The ELC Board has decided the following as precautionary measures to inhibit the spread of the Coronavirus.

  • The Early Learning Center will be closed through March 27th.

  • All 4 year old Parent Teacher Conferences will be rescheduled once we are back in session.

  • The sandwich sale will be postponed.  Monies and orders collected will be applied to the new date or reimbursed.

  • Tuition/reimbursements/makeup days/Enrichment will all be discussed by the Board and communicated to our families once we have a better understanding of the length of this global health crisis.

  • The ELC Advisory Board will meet on March 27th to discuss the situation and make further decisions in the best interest of our families and staff.

If you have any questions or concerns, I will be checking email as well as phone messages.

Thank you for your continued support.  The health and safety of our students and their families is of utmost importance to the Early Learning Center Staff and the Advisory Board.
